When the baby is 12 days old, there is a baby welcoming ceremony called “Mapag Rare” is held”.  The purpose of the ceremony is to express gratitude to Sang Dumadi, that the baby was born safely.

Through this ceremony, it is expected that Sang Hyang Dumadi, who animates the baby, can get a healthy and long life.  Before “ngayab” the offering of Pemapag Rare, the baby is sprinkled with “Pelukatan” and “Tirtha/holly water”
